Finding lights!

I will be looking for some commonly used lights this week so I can hopefully make a decision to which type to base my calculations off. I need to find about five of each CFL, LED, and incandescent so I have a decent variety to select the most fair option. I will post which lights I believe will be the best options so if anyone disagrees or has a better option you can comment.

Hey Mike, you should use pot lights as one of your types. Lots of people have them and I'm interested to find out they compare.

Mike, it might be a good idea to check out what the stores in town offer, and ask which types sell the most. Therefore, your research will apply to the most people rather than a select few who would use other lights.

Home Depot has a decent selection of LED light bulbs that fit a variety of fixtures. I currently have 5 different types installed in my house. Some work better than others and it appears that you get what you pay for, although other stores like WalMart and Superstore are starting to sell them as well. You will definitely need more fixtures with LEDS as they do not put out as much light.

Thanks Ellissa, I will be using pot lights in the appropriate rooms such as a kitchen in my incandescent lighting study.

Thanks Dale for the input, other than one LED replacement bulb, Home Depot didn't have any LED fixtures besides puck lights; I did find a lot on incandescent lights and some CFL's so it wasn't a wasted trip. I also went to Rona and had the same luck, and will be checking out Home Hardware in the next couple days.
